How much is the tuition and registration fee per semester?


Regular Program $820 per school year, paying $435 for fall semester (textbook included) and $385 for spring semester. Fall semester tuition due on July 31st and spring semester tuition due on first day of spring semester. Fall semester starts from August to December, and spring semester starts from January to May.




When can I register?


Registration for the next semester opens about a month prior to the end of the current semester. Since we follow a two-semester per school year format, new students (new to our school or those not currently enrolled with our school) are accepted only in the Fall. The Fall semester always begins the Saturday that Miami-Dade Schools begin classes in the Fall. The Spring semester always begins the Saturday that Miami-Dade Schools begin classes in the Spring.




Can I reserve a spot for my child?


No, registration is on a first-come first-served basis until the class is full.

If I don’t register by the first day of class, can I still register?


You may register up to the third week of class unless the class is full. The full amount of the tuition, books/fees is due upon registration with no deductions for having registered late. For the school's class schedule, please see our Calendar on our homepage.




Is tuition, books/registration fee refundable?


No.

How long has Miami Chinese Language School been in existence?


Since 1978.




How many semesters does each school year have?


Two. Fall and Spring semester.




If I am registered for the Fall semester, do I need to register for the Spring semester and pay a separate fee?


Yes.




Can I visit your school to get a feel for it?


Yes, you may come visit our school during class days. Please see our school calendar to see when we have class. It's preferable that you email us at miamichineseschool@gmail.com to schedule an appointment prior your visit.




How do I know which level my child will be enrolled in?


New/not currently enrolled students will be provided a short admissions test to determine level.




What is the minimum age accepted for enrollment?


We accept children ages 5 and up. The child must be age 5 by the first day of the Fall semester.




Are there any sibling discounts?


No.




What are the acceptable forms of payment?


Checks made payable to “Miami Chinese Language School” or cash.
