Miami Chinese Language School
邁阿密中文學校
Established in January 1978, we offer classes for both children and adults. Most of our students are the offspring of overseas Chinese who would like to carry on the Chinese heritage by learning Chinese and our culture. Some are children who were adopted by American parents and who would like to get in touch with the roots of their origin. Some are children of non-Chinese descent who come to appreciate the beauty of the Chinese language and culture.
Our curriculum is designed to help students understand, speak, read and write Chinese as used in daily life. Our program also includes cultural courses and extracurricular activities, such as Chinese folk dance, Chinese chess, Tai-Chi, Chinese calligraphy, abacus and Chinese arts and crafts.
Currently we hold our seven different levels of classes at Coral Gables High School, which provides an excellent environment and facilities for our students and school program.
Miami Chinese Language School is a non-profit organization. We are independent from any political or religious organization. All staff members are parent volunteers. All expenses are paid for by tuition, fund raising, and donations.
